Soley Kouche Restaurant, a fine dining restaurant located in Delcer, Choiseul is seeking to recruit an Executive Chef to join our team.
Executive Chef
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- A Culinary college degree.
- Certification of Culinary training or apprenticeship.
- 4 years experience in a similar position at a luxury (4/5 Star) style Hotel.
- Work all stations in Kitchen.
- Food handling certificate.
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
- Compute basic arithmetic.
- Provide legible communication.
- Knowledge of food cost controls.
- Previously worked with all products and food ingredients.
- Operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job functions.
- Plan and develop menus and recipes.
- Expand and condense recipes.
- Ability to:
- perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
- Prioritize, organize and delegate work assignments.
- be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
- follow directions thoroughly.
- understand guest’s service needs.
- ability to motivate kitchen staff and maintain a cohesive team.
- maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
- ascertain departmental training needs and provide such training.
- direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections when needed.
- Ability to maintain good coordination.
- Ability to transport cases of received goods to the workstation stations; pots and pans of food from storage/prep areas to the serving line.
- work an 8-12 hour shift, 5-7 days per week.
- work with all products and food ingredients involved.
- use all senses to ensure quality standards is met.

- Ability to work well under pressure of organizing and attaining production schedules and timelines.
Desirable:
- Culinary college degree.
- Driver’s license.
- Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish.
- Sanitation certificate.
- Maintain good coordination.
- Certification in CPR.
- Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
- Previous guest relations training.
- Creative talent.

Sous Chef
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:

- 3 years experience as a Sous Chef at a luxury (4/5 Star) style Hotel or Fine Dining Restaurant.
- Ability to work all stations on the line.
- Food handling certificate.
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
- Compute basic arithmetic.
- Provide legible communication.
- Comprehend and follow recipes.
- Expand/condense recipes.
- Ability to:
- perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
- prioritize and organize.
- be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
- follow directions thoroughly.
- understand guest’s service needs.
- work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- work with minimal supervision.
- maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Hotel data.

Desirable:
- Some college Degree.
- Certification of Culinary training or apprenticeship.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish.
- Sanitation certificate.
- Previously worked with all products and food ingredients involved.
- Artistic talent.
- Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
- Previous guest relations training.
