Using Strategy Execution Methods to Effectively Deliver Your Business Goals

Training will be held on the 24th October 2018, at the SLHTA Training Centre from 9:00 am.- 4:30 pm. Cost of the training is $465.00 EC plus VAT which includes morning break and lunch.

This is an informative, interactive and engaging workshop, designed to ensure that Supervisors and Managers understand how to use strategy execution tools in focusing their department’s efforts in the delivery of both departmental and organizational priorities.  Participants will develop the tools and techniques to design clear goals and implement practical measures for effective delivery. This unit also explores the most effective ways of communicating and engaging the team in delivering against agreed goals.

The topics to be covered include:

  • A review and comparison of methods and tools used by the world’s most successful businesses to deliver growth strategies, drive up department performance and measure success.
  • Building a common understanding of the organization’s vision & goals, the needs of the key stakeholders of the business, and the prioritization of stakeholder objectives.
  • Key approaches, tools and techniques of data analysis, business performance measurement and target setting.
  • Developing line of sight between stakeholder objectives and department operational goals.
  • Defining KPIs, building a performance scorecard for the department and ensuring regular performance measurement and reporting.

This is the forth in a series of eight management and leadership development units to be offered by the SLHTA in collaboration with Springboard Caribbean. Each unit is individually certificated.  Those participants who complete the five required mandatory units and one optional unit can be awarded the Institute of Hospitality endorsed Certificate in Management and Leadership. Participants also have the opportunity, to convert their qualification to the Diploma in Management and Leadership for Business & Hospitality which is a CTH (Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality) UK accredited qualification.  Please contact Springboard Caribbean directly if you are interested in converting to the Diploma qualification.

These units are designed to fill the gaps in knowledge, skills and abilities that research has identified are often missing but are essential for both new and existing Caribbean supervisors and managers. These workshops assist managers and supervisors in making a real contribution to their business and helps advance their career prospects in the hospitality industry.
