SLHTA’s Tourism Enhancement Fund and SLUNCF unveil Saint Lucia Marine Health Alliance

On Wednesday, October 9th 2024 the SLHTA’s Tourism Enhancement Fund and the Saint Lucia National Conservation Fund (SLUNCF) unveiled the Saint Lucia Marine Health Alliance (MHA) during the REDLAC Congress 2024.
The MHA operates under the umbrella of the SLUNCF, bringing together community groups, private stakeholders and visitors in a unified effort to promote marine conservation.

The MHA will focus on practical, impactful actions: reef protection, coastal clean-ups, restoration of mangroves and seagrass beds, and advocacy for the health of Saint Lucia’s waters.
The SLHTA’s Tourism Enhancement Fund has contributed US$100,000 to the MHA, marking its largest initiative to date.
