(Castries, Saint Lucia – December 2nd 2025)- The Saint Lucia Hospitality & Tourism Association (SLHTA) extends warm and sincere congratulations to the Honourable Prime Minister-Elect Philip J. Pierre and the Saint Lucia Labour Party on their impressive victory at the polls on Monday, December 1st, 2025. The outcome reflects a renewed national confidence in the party’s leadership and in the clear, people-focused vision outlined in its 2025 manifesto.
SLHTA CEO Noorani Azeez noted that the results “signal renewed trust in the Prime Minister-Elect’s leadership and the direction in which he has steered this country.” He added that the hospitality sector views the policy agenda with optimism, particularly its emphasis on inclusive development, economic resilience, and opportunities for young people. “The SLHTA looks forward to deepening our partnership with his administration to advance tourism competitiveness, strengthen community linkages, and continue building a resilient, people-centred economy,” Azeez emphasized.
Over the last political term, the SLHTA has benefitted from meaningful and constructive dialogue with the administration on several critical national priorities—from workforce development and tourism resilience to water security, community tourism, and sustainable investment. The Prime Minister-Elect’s inclusive leadership style has been a key factor in enabling this progress, creating space for honest collaboration between the government, private sector, and civil society.
