Human Resource Development – UK Accredited HACCP Certification by Springboard

This two and a half-days UK Accredited HACCP Certification Workshop is designed to certify EHOs, Supervisors and Managers in hotel F&B Departments, Food Purchasing and Stores Departments, Food Manufacturing, Food Wholesale and Distribution companies. This workshop is accredited and certificated by the RSPH (Royal Society for Public Health).

As identified by the USA FDA, HACCP plans are key to the use of performance standards as measures of regulatory compliance to Food Safety and recommend that food businesses should have at least one person HACCP certified, particularly if they are in charge of other staff. Once trained and certified they are able to effectively implement and manage a fully compliant FSMS (Food Safety Management System) for their respective organisation and provide the relevant training for their staff.

Workshop Aim: RSPH (Royal Society for Public Health) Level 3 Award in HACCP is internationally recognised and will ensure, through a very hands-on approach, your key supervisors and managers (as identified above) become formally HACCP certified and develop the knowledge and skills to:

  • Respond effectively to Tour Operator Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Audits
  • Meet legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Develop a HACCP Plan for their respective organisations
  • Develop and maintain the organisations Food Safety Management System
  • Train operational/line staff in Food Safety
  • Undertake Food Safety Audits to ensure Food Hygiene standards are being maintained

Pre-requisites: All candidates must have good written and verbal communication skills, analytical / problem solving skills and will have completed a secondary school education.

Workshop Duration: The workshop runs across two and a half consecutive days, starting at 9.00 a.m. and concluding at 4 p.m. on the 10th & 11th and ending at 12 pm on the 12th December.

Workshop Assessment and Certification: The qualification to be awarded as part of this workshop is the RSPH – Level 3 Award in “How to Implement a HACCP Plan”. A 60-minute examination consisting of 30 short answer questions (multiple choice) will be administered on the third day of the workshop. Successful candidates will be certificated by the Royal Society for Public Health (UK headquartered international accreditation body.) The qualification is graded as either Pass or Fail. In order to be awarded a Pass, candidates must attain a mark of 20/30 or greater.

As an Approved Centre with the RSPH, Springboard Caribbean has an excellent track record in delivering this type of workshop with 95% of participants to date receiving a “Pass” or “Distinction” during the assessment of this certified qualification.

Cost: The cost of this 2.5-day certification workshop is $1,336 XCD ($495 USD) to include all tuition, refreshments, lunch, assessment and certification by the RSPH (Royal Society for Public Health).
