Foundation of Wines of the World Level 2

The St. Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association (SLHTA) is hosting the first “Foundation of Wines of the World Level 2” course.

The “Foundation of Wines of the World Level 2” offers a focus on wines, for individuals who are exposed to the service, selling and distribution of wines on a daily basis. The course will be conducted by Mr. Jasper Kok who is the Executive Assistant Manager at Cap Maison Resort and Spa – a certified Sommelier by The Court of Master Sommeliers and also holds an advanced certificate from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust.

The course commences 30th November 2015 and concludes 18th January 2016. Classes will be held at the SLHTA Training room located at #3 Alfiona Plaza, Rodney Heights, twice a week from 3:00pm-5:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays (there will be a short break over the Christmas Period). The fee for the course is XCD $500 per person.  The Course is composed of 3 parts – theory, professional tasting and wine service standards. In total, participants will attend 7 classes discussing and tasting 5 different wines per class. To complete the course, all participants must successfully complete the final examination

The objective of these sessions is to educate, train and provide the skills to examine, taste and analyze wines of the world. This is an extraordinary opportunity for participants to improve their wine knowledge and become more confident and comfortable to talk about wines.  We look forward to beginning the first “Foundation of Wines of the World Level 2” course.
