Please note a second call for nominations for the CHTA’s Employee of the Year and Supervisor of the Year awards. CHTA created these awards to honor the most outstanding examples of excellence in the hotel
and tourism industry.
The Employee of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding hotel employee or tourism employee in the private sector who exemplifies above-average technical competence and hospitality skills.
The Supervisor of the Year Award honors individuals in the private sector who demonstrate exceptional leadership in their management abilities. Supervisor applications, which judge the worker on technical competence, hospitality and supervisory skills, are submitted by the manager of the property or owner of the company.
Other criteria in the selection of “Supervisor of the Year” are:
- community activities;
- sporting activities;
- previous awards;
- owner/general manager’s report;
- supervisor’s report;
- letters of recognition from guests; management or peers;
- community testimonials and educational qualifications.
Hoteliers and tourism related businesses are asked to nominate their outstanding staff for these two awards, Employee of the Year and Supervisor of the Year. One nomination for each category is accepted by hotel association.

All members are asked to note that nomination forms MUST be endorsed by the Saint Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association (SLHTA) and therefore should be submitted to the SLHTA for endorsement by 25th August 2015 to facilitate onward submission to CHTA by the deadline date of 31st August 2015.
