Coco Palm Capitalizes on Conferences

Coco Palm conference and events have contributed to June figures to report a 25% increase year on year. With a total of five conferences rooms on offer business for June showed a marked increase proving conferences and events have become an integral part of Coco Resorts source of business.

Events Manager, Alta King Destang noted “We have been fortunate enough to entice our business and corporate partners to choose Coco Palm for their meetings and events. Given the variety of rooms we have on offer we can easily cater from 2 to 250 comfortably.” Mrs. King-Destang continued “We aim to work one on one with our partners to ensure we deliver a service which reflects their company. We never take it for granted as we know each event has to surpass the last one and our extensive team headed by Carlton Alphonse aided by Mikail Boudhar makes it all a pleasure to do business.”

Along with the meetings come Food and Beverage which Chef Richardson along with Mr. Ernie George work in tangent to deliver. Mr. George noted, “Time is of essence with our groups and we have to ensure we deliver to their schedule whether it is a coffee break or an hour to feed 60 persons.” Chef Richardson has mastered this and has won the praises of many organizers in delivering quality food on budget.

Reservations have also benefited from the spin off with many groups requiring rooms which can vary from one to one hundred. Mrs. Gilbert, Head of Revenue and Reservations noted “We have seen an increase with group business becoming a bigger part of our market with some taking as much as 90% of our inventory.”

Conference facilities include the 3,000 square foot Golden Palm in the Al-Fiona Plaza at Rodney Heights catering up to 350 persons theatre style, 100 Boardroom style and 90 persons U-shape. Venue has become very popular for weddings and private parties with easy access and parking.

PalmVille located adjacent to Coco Palm caters up to 170 theatre style, 60 persons class room setting, 50 board of directors or 40 U-shape. A private secretariat room is located adjacent to the meeting space which serves well for meetings. Ample parking is available and easy access to Rodney Bay Village.

Kreole Conference room located adjacent to Coco Kreole caters up to 90 theatre style, 30 U-Shape and 40 board room. In Addition, the Creole Grill restaurant and bar are adjacent for break outs along with an open air patio and deck ideal for cocktail parties.

Kaiso Board Room located on the third floor of Coco Palm caters to 18 persons boardroom style.

Plantation Conference room located on the ground floor of Coco Palm is ideal for board meetings with up to 20 persons boardroom style.
