During its 60th Anniversary Annual General Meeting on February 28th, 2024, the SLHTA recognized Lennox Dupal, a multi-talented son of the soil who has rendered his services to the tourism industry for over four decades.
Dupal is a graduate of the ‘Hotelfachschuele Heidelberg’ School of Hotel and Business Administration in Germany, a prestigious and elite institution, where he obtained a degree in hotel and business management and mastered the German Language. He has worked in many departments in the hotel industry starting out as a Night Auditor at the Holiday Inn and then as the Food and Beverage Manager at the Steingberger Cariblue Hotel. He worked his way to becoming the General Manager at two resorts in Malaysia, the Ramada Beach Resort and the Holiday Villa Subang Jaya in Kuala Lumpur.
From there his thirst for the Caribbean took him to the position of the General Manager of Club Antigua after which he joined the Sandals chain of Resorts.
At different points in his career he has held the position of General Manager of five different Sandals Resorts , namely Beaches Sandy Bay, Negril Gardens, Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals La Toc and Sandals Halcyon where he was stationed for thirteen years. During his tenure at Sandals Halcyon he led this resort to be recognized as one of the leading hotels in the Sandals Chain with a high repeat guest factor and excellent service scores.
